Emily began writing at an early age, jotting down short stories and even beginning a novel while in high school. The dream to one day publish seemed a far way off but she continued to write and, after having kids of her own, became determined to turn that dream into a reality. Being connected to the publishing world through work, she set forward with a plan and, in 2023, published her first Children’s book, A Simple Gift.

Residing in Washington with her husband, two sons and dogs, Emily lives a fairly chaotic life with little quiet time. Between playing ball, cleaning, work and bargaining with a toddler, she continues to write and dream.
